Whether you have a large bathroom or a small one, decorating it can be fun and easy. First, be sure your bathroom is thoroughly clean. Decide if you want to paint the walls or put up wall paper. Some people choose to paint and wall paper.

First, paint the walls. Then, decide if you want border at the top of the walls near the ceiling or maybe paint one wall and paper another wall. Instead of putting curtains on your bathroom window , go to a home supply store and purchase pretty scenery that is printed on plastic with adhesive on the back. There's a nice selection of scenes. No one can see through the plastic and it allows a lot of light to filter into the room.

Put your clean, rolled towels in a pretty basket. Sit it on the floor in a corner. Buy a bath mat with rubber backing. It is very important to have non skid rugs in your bathroom to prevent a fall. Never use cloth rugs in a bathroom. They come in many colors and are sold in most department stores. While you're there buy a matching shower curtain and waste basket.

Green plants are always nice in a bathroom. Place a nice green plant on your sink counter top. Go to a thrift store and look for old, unique bottles. Sometimes you can find the colored bottles and they really add a nice accent to your bathroom. While you're in the thrift store look for some nice little bowls, preferably glass with lids. These little bowls can be used for hair pins, cotton balls, manicure tools and many other items. Try to find antique glass bowls. They are much nicer. Try placing some porpouri in a bowl. It will look nice and your bathroom will have a sweet scent.

Scented candles add so much to a bathroom. Have different colors placed in the corners of your bath tub. Place a few on your sink counter. Sometimes there is an open space between the ceiling and your bathroom cabinets. This is an ideal place to sit silk flower arrangements, baskets and anything else that you think will make your bathroom more appealing.
