General Discussion
Cutis Laxa is a rare congenital or acquired connective tissue disorder characterized by skin that is loose (lax), hanging, wrinkled, and lacking in elasticity. The affected areas of skin may be thickened and dark. Most cases of Cutis Laxa are inherited as an autosomal recessive genetic trait. Cutis Laxa may be present at birth (congenital) or may be acquired.
